Account Deletion Process
1. App name and/or developer name
App Name: Odkhaan Developer / Package Name: com.acute.odkhaan
2. Instructions for deleting an account
Google requires clear, step-by-step instructions that users can follow inside your app. Instructions:
- Open the Odkhaan app and log in.
- Open the side menu (drawer) and tap on Settings.
- Scroll down to the bottom to find the Danger Zone section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- A warning prompt will appear. Tap Continue.
- A final confirmation prompt will appear. Tap Yes, Delete My Account.
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion.
3. What data is deleted
When the user confirms deletion, the app calls the soft_delete_own_account database function. This initiates the deletion of:
- Personal profile information (Name, Username, Profile Picture, Contact info)
- Authentication credentials (Email, Phone logins)
- All community memberships and roles
- User-generated content (Posts, Events, Comments)
- User blocks and preferences
Note: If the user is the sole owner of an active community, the app will block the deletion and require them to transfer ownership or delete the community first.
4. What data, if any, is retained and for how long
Retention Period: User data is retained in a "soft-deleted" (deactivated) state for exactly 30 days.
Reason for retention: To prevent accidental deletion and allow for account recovery or addressing safety/legal disputes.
After 30 days: The data is permanently and irreversibly purged from the database. During the 30-day window, the user cannot log back in, and their profile is hidden from all other users in the app.
5. Contact information if users need help
If you need assistance with account deletion or have questions about your data, please contact our support team at contact@adaptyx.com or use the in-app Help & Support option located in the Settings menu.
